Hidden away on a hillside above the bay of Ba Kantiang, Baan Som is a most impressive sight. The property’s architecture is traditional Thai, with the interior décor providing a great blend of traditional Thai and modern western. The outdoor gardens contain a great swimming pool and also there is a large outdoor terrace area. From here guests can enjoy sunset views that really have to be seen to be believed.

The stunning views are a recurrent theme; each room in the house boasts amazing sights of the ocean, jungle vegetation and the bay. The beach is just 600 meters away and is considered one of Thailand’s finest, white sands and beautiful clear water will put beach lovers in heaven.

Location
Baan Som lies on a hillside above the bay of Ba Kantiang. The bay is just 600 meters away and here you will find an award winning beach with white sun-kissed sands stretching out to azure ocean water. Although just a short walk, the property also has a shuttle service that will take guests directly there. The bay has a range of restaurants, bars and massage shops, ensuring guests are not left without entertainment.

Away to the south lies the national park of Mu Koh Lanta. The park offers nature lovers a chance to experience some great Thai sub-tropical jungle. 3km away from the villa is Koh Lanta’s waterfall where there is a nature trail as well as caves to explore. Guests can also choose to do some elephant trekking here.AccomodationBedrooms. There are two bedrooms, both with chic décor. Each bedroom has a queen size double bed which is nicely positioned to allow guests to take in the ocean views whilst reclining in comfort. Air-conditioning units are present in both rooms but guests may find that actually the cool sea breeze that often reaches the bedrooms means that merely opening a window will suffice to keep the temperature pleasant. Bathrooms. Both bathrooms are en-suite and clean-cut in style. A special feature is that each bathroom has an open wall which allows guests to get a great view of the ocean whilst washing. Dining Room. The property has a spacious 78sqm outdoor terrace on which guests can dine in style. With views looking out over the bay onto the sea, eating a meal here is an absolute joy. The terrace has a large 8 –seat dining table allowing guests to invite friends round to enjoy the evening sunsets.Kitchen. The well-equipped kitchen makes a great place to prepare food. Guests will find everything they need as the kitchen comes with oven, gas hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishware and a huge range of kitchen utensils. The kitchen has great views of the sea and garden so preparing a meal in this room is a real pleasure.Living Rooms. The lounge has a great range of entertainment facilities. On hand are a large flat screen TV, DVD player and also a stereo system. The TV has over 50 international satellite channels and also is connected to the internet which allows guests to surf the web on a big screen. All this entertainment can be enjoyed from the comfort of the large sofa.
